Doctor of Pharmacy/Master of Business Administration Program

Program Description

Qualified students in Mercer's Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Program have an opportunity to pursue the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree concurrently with the PharmD degree. The MBA is earned through Mercer's Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics. While completing the requirements for the PharmD degree, students enrolled in the combined program take classes in the Stetson School of Business and Economics toward the MBA degree. The MBA Program is a offered in a flexible format with evening classes offered during eight week sessions.

The MBA degree is for students interested in the management of human, material and/or financial resources in business, government and non-profit institutions. The degree complements the PharmD degree in a manner that will broaden the occupational and professional opportunities of the prospective graduate in community, industry or institutional practice.

Admission Requirements

In order to apply for admission to the MBA Program, PharmD students must have received a bachelor's degree or successfully completed 128 hours of college credit (the equivalent of a bachelor's degree in terms of a focused record of study).

PharmD students must submit an application and résumé to the Stetson School of Business. The application fee is waived for current students. Students applying to the MBA Program must also take the GMAT (preferred) or GRE and submit their scores to the Stetson School of Business. Unofficial score reports can be submitted, but official scores must be submitted in order for the application file to be considered complete.

Please visit the admissions page for more information on admissions for the PharmD/MBA Program.

Program Policies and Procedures
