The Physician Assistant Program requires each student to participate in the technology lease/purchase program, which includes the lease/purchase of the approved notebook computer, PDA, and pre-loaded software.  This technology requirement is included in the cost of attendance amount used for financial aid purposes.  The prescribed electronic devices ensure that each student has the ability to access required course materials and policies on Blackboard, various educational websites, databases, and software during the didactic and clinical year.  Additionally, the technology lease/purchase program is supported by the Mercer University Technology Support Services (TSS). 

As emphasized in the Program’s mission statement, we strongly endorse the use of informatics and evidence-based medicine in supporting critical decision making and patient-centered care.
