Thank you for your interest in the Mercer University Physician Assistant Program. We are located in Atlanta, Georgia and are a part of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Our program is a 28-month program structured to meet the needs of future physician assistants through an innovative didactic and clinical curriculum.
Mercer University has a proud history of training and educating healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, physical therapists, and physician assistants. Our Physician Assistant program maintains this tradition of excellence by providing an education with emphasis on evidence-based medicine, informatics, critical decision making, interdisciplinary teamwork, and the appreciation of ethical values and human diversity.

There is a strong sense of accomplishment the entire faculty shares in educating and mentoring our students. We are committed to ensuring the highest-quality educational experience by striving to be student-centered teachers focused on developing ethically sound, patient-centered, healthcare providers. Our students are actively involved in professional organizations, advocacy, and community service, which are all components of continued professional growth. We are especially proud of our students’ recent win at the American Academy of Physician Assistants 2011 National Medical Challenge Bowl!
The Mercer University Physician Assistant program has been awarded full accreditation from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). Each year we are recruiting 50 highly motivated, professional students with a commitment to improving the health and wellness of the community.
