An applicant who is not a citizen or permanent resident of the United States must follow the normal application procedure. It is extremely important for non-U.S. applicants to understand the application instructions and to submit an application early, as there are additional requirements that must be met before admission into the program.
International students or domestic students with credentials from institutions outside the United States are required to have those credentials evaluated by a professional evaluation service. This evaluation must include an analysis of courses, grades and grade point average, and U.S. degree equivalency. Mercer University accepts evaluations from the following three services:
Additionally, applicants whose native language is not
English must demonstrate satisfactory proficiency in English
language as measured by the Test of English as a Foreign
Language (TOEFL). Our institution code for TOEFL is 5623. A
minimum acceptable score of 550 on paper-based TOEFL; 213 on
computer-based TOEFL; or 80 on Internet-based TOEFL is
required for admission. Tests must be taken within two years
from the application to the DPT Program.
Information and applications for TOEFL may be obtained online from the TOEFL / ETS website.
