Admissions Requirements
-
To enroll in the Pharm.D./Ph.D. program,
a student must apply for and gain admission to both the
Pharm.D. and the Ph.D. programs separately. It is
recommended that application to the Ph.D. program be
made at the same time of application to the Pharm.D.
program. A Pharm.D. student may join the Pharm.D./Ph.D.
program by gaining admission to the Ph.D. program.
However, this should be done by spring semester of the
first year to gain full potential benefits of the
program.

All applicants to the Pharm.D./Ph.D.
program must have an earned Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor
of Science degree. In addition, applicants are
expected to satisfy the following requirements for
admission to the Ph.D. program:

Submit a completed
application form along with a non-refundable $25
application fee.

Have a minimum grade point average
of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale.

Score a minimum of 1000 (composite
of verbal and quantitative sections) on the Graduate
Record Examination (GRE).

Score at least 550 (paper-based
test) or 213 (computer-based test) on the Test of
English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), if the
applicant is from a country where English is not the
primary language.

Submit official transcripts from
each college or university attended.

Submit
three
letters of reference from persons able to
evaluate the applicant's academic abilities.

Schedule an interview with the chair
of Pharmaceutical Sciences and/or the director of
Graduate Programs.
