Sample Plan for Self-directed Review (P2 Student)
In PHA 440 General Principles of Pharmacotherapy, I demonstrated competency within all four sections (Qualitative pharmacokinetics, Quantitative pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics and Pharmacotherapeutic principles).
In PHA 450 Nervous System Disorders I, I have demonstrated competency within the sections titled Nervous system anatomy & physiology and illness, Sleep disorders, and Neuropsychiatric disorders. Within the section titled Seizure disorder and antiepileptics, I missed one question indicating I need to review the pharmacotherapy of seizures. Within the section titled Pain & head ache, I missed one question indicating I need to review the pharmacotherpay of pain.
In PHA 451 Nervous System Disorders II, I need to do some review in each of the four sections. In the section titled Psychotic disorders, I need to review the pharmacotherapy of schizophrenia. In the section titled Mood disorders, I need to review the pharmacotherapy of depression and medicinal chemistry related to depression. In the section titled other disorders, I need to review the pharmacotherapy of anxiety. In the section titled Substance Abuse/Dependence I need to review the pharmacotherapy of nicotine dependency.
In PHA 452 Renal/Cardiovascular I, I need to do some review in each of the four sections. In the section titled Heart Anatomy, I need to review heart receptors. In the section titled Heart Physiology, I need to review EKG. In the section titled Peripheral Circulation A & P, I need to review Circulatory function. In the section titled Renal Physiology, I need to review tubular processing. In the section titled CV Disease Pathophysiology, I need to review atherosclerosis.
In PHA 453 Renal/Cardiovascular II, I demonstrated competency in the sections titled Pathophysiology of the Heart, Autonomic Nervous System, Calcium Channel Blockers, Peripheral Vasodilators, Diuretics, Postivite Inotropic agents, and Antiarrhythmics. In the Section titled drugs/blud I need to review pharmacology and medicinal chemistry.
In PHA 473 Patient Care III, I demonstrated competency in the section titled Drug information and case discussion. In the section titled Patient Counseling and Lab values I need to review billing for services and renal function labs. In the section titled calculations, I need to review milliequivalent, dosage.
In PHA 474 Patient Care IV, I demonstrated competency in the section titled Practice (which includes IV preparation and administration). In the section titled Patient assessment, I need to review cholesterol testing. In the section titled calculations, I need to review milliequivalents.
I intend to consult my respective course notes and course texts in order to conduct this review.
